Features, documentation and these terms may change as the products evolve. The effective date on this page shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms, to the extent permitted by law.
Software and account
Responsible use
Permitted use
You may use CIP Tools for lawful personal or business technical work, subject to the plan and feature limits that apply to your account. You are responsible for the systems, networks, credentials and data you access with the tools.
Account security
Keep your password, recovery material and two-factor authentication codes confidential. Do not share your account. Tell us promptly at support@cip.tools if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Prohibited use
Do not use CIP Tools to access systems without authorization, disrupt services, distribute malware, evade security controls, violate law or infringe another person’s rights. Do not attempt to interfere with the website, API, cloud sync or account security.
Availability and third parties

Availability
We aim to keep the site and cloud services available, but they may be changed, suspended or unavailable for maintenance, updates, security work or events outside our control. Keep your own appropriate backups of important data.
Third-party services
CIP Tools may link to third-party services such as GitHub for releases. Those services are not controlled by CIP Tools and are governed by their own terms and policies.
Feedback
If you send feedback or a feature request, you allow us to use it to improve CIP Tools without an obligation to compensate you. Do not send confidential information you do not want us to receive.

Technical tools, not professional advice
CIP Tools provides technical software and information. It does not replace professional security, legal, financial, medical or other specialist advice. Check commands, configurations and results before applying them to a production system.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CIP Tools is provided on an “as available” basis without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose. CIP Tools will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or loss-of-data damages arising from use of the site, software or cloud services.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator, except where mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise. Questions about these terms can be sent to support@cip.tools.
